FAQ
1. At which project stage should you ideally be involved?
We are typically involved from the concept or design development phase. Early involvement allows us to advise on feasibility, tolerances, detailing, and material suitability before key decisions are fixed.

2. Do you work according to SIA standards?
Yes. Our services, coordination, execution, and handover processes are aligned with relevant SIA standards, including SIA 118, depending on the project scope and contractual framework.

3. How is responsibility defined between your company, the architect, and the site management?
Responsibilities are clearly defined and coordinated with the architect and Bauleitung. Our scope covers stone fabrication, detailing within our trade, and execution according to approved drawings and specifications.

4. Do you prepare shop drawings and execution details?
We do not produce bespoke shop drawings or execution plans. However, we provide precise technical input and advisory support regarding dimensions, tolerances, detailing, and material behaviour to ensure correct integration into the overall project documentation.

5. How do you coordinate with architects and other trades?
Coordination is handled through structured communication, documented approvals, and regular alignment with the architect, Bauleitung, and adjacent trades to avoid interface conflicts.

6. How do you manage construction tolerances?
Tolerances are verified on site before production. Measurements are documented and coordinated with the project team to ensure compatibility with existing structures and adjacent materials.

7. How do you handle moisture or substrate-related risks?
Substrate conditions are checked prior to installation. Moisture levels and suitability are documented, and installation proceeds only once conditions meet technical requirements.

8. How do you ensure consistent quality and material appearance?
Material selection is carried out carefully with approved samples. Natural variations are assessed in advance, and production is organized to ensure visual consistency across elements.

9. How do you minimize the risk of damage during transport and installation?
Transport, handling, and installation follow defined procedures. Protective measures are applied throughout logistics and installation to reduce the risk of damage.

10. How is the price for bespoke stone elements determined?
Pricing is based on the specific project requirements, including material selection, dimensions, processing, detailing complexity, logistics, and installation conditions.

11. Do you provide fixed-price offers?
Where project conditions are clearly defined, fixed-price offers are possible. In other cases, pricing is structured transparently based on defined assumptions and scope.

12. How are variations or additional works handled?
Any variations are discussed, documented, and agreed upon before execution. Cost and schedule implications are communicated transparently.

13. What guarantees do you provide?
Warranty and guarantee terms follow Swiss regulations and applicable SIA standards. Handover and acceptance are documented upon completion.

14. Do you work with your own installation teams?
Yes. Installation is carried out by experienced teams familiar with our materials, details, and quality requirements.

15. Who is our main point of contact during the project?
Each project has a dedicated contact person responsible for coordination, communication, and documentation throughout all phases.
